I was nicked once for doing 140. Sure did not seem like it, but I wasn't gonna argue :-)

By luck, for some technical reason, they could not charge me, (cos I was in a foreign country or something and would be gone by the time of any hearing), - so we "settled up" on the spot for.. not much money.

Dunno.. I think the legal limit was probably around 70 - 90 mph.
