I invest in domains mostly now. Also, run some mainstream and adult sites. Been investing in adult since 1984. Pioneered the phone sex and pay-per-call biz. Been on the Net since day 1. I have other offline business investments as well.
I do mostly only autopilot type businesses now. Have employees for the stuff that requires it. But try to keep things small, simple and controllable where they don't become too corporate which is pain in the ass when you get too big.
I did the early retirement thing in my 30's and just took it easy for a while, mostly golfing and having fun all the time. Got tired of that lifestyle, and seeing investments suck wind because unless you run things they always do and went back to investing and doing deals full time in my late 30's again.
I set my own schedule everyday. Have free time whenever I want, and I'm planning on cashing in in about 8 more years and then going into more of a travel the world relaxed lifestyle for a while.
I've had lots of fantastic ups and only 2 down periods. Made a lot of money during my ups and learned a lot during the downs. Lost a load of money during the tech dive cause I had a lot of tech oriented stocks and I kept hangin in too long thinking they would come back. But overall, the Net outside of the stocks I invested in, has been a great solid moneymaker for the past 7 years.
