TOKYO Japanese authorities say the deaths of seven people near Tokyo are being investigated as a group suicide.

The young men and women were found dead early Tuesday in a parked car. A friend who received an e-mail hinting at suicide called police but they failed to reach the car in time. Media reports say the victims died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
