Techno - Dance to this music, everyone have fun, sex
Hard Rock- Sex, drugs and rock n roll.
Metal - Darkness rules, evil is all around us
Punk/Emo - Have fun do not conform, oh woa is me
R & B - the happyness and pain of love and relationships
Goth - mix metal and emo: darkness rules, oh woa is me no one accepts me
Country - losing it all, we are poor but we survive
Music does not change much on any level other than it gets super saturated with the same messages and every once in a while someone comes along with a sub-genre such as gangsta/floss/bounce/phycho/metal hop for rap, drum and bass/electronica/club/break beat etc etc for techno and ska etc for punk/emo. If you listen to other forms of music other than rap you are no more revolutionary you are just not as popular anymore
