i.e.
buy me boobs
pay off my credit, car, mortgage (insert w/e you want)
some of them are obviously scams, some aren't. a few have produced results.. I've seen some girls show off their new boobjobs paid for entirely by donations... and not launch a pay site afterwards. just got their boobs, thanked everyone and moved on. i think the girl/site ended up on CNN (next) and TechTV.
while it's a great marketing vehicle to generate traffic or to launch a single girl site
there are needy charities out there. some "Web Begging" sites generate so much traffic, the owners can't afford the bandwidth... ironic justice.
