things have changed allot from back then.
There used to be some really really good free sites out there with chat rooms and msg boards, one of them - the owner still posts here, 5 i's , He was responsible for ALLOT of my memberships.

now days those sites are gone and the so called free ones are owned by pay site owners who just push their own programs, the problem is they never get the home feeling that places like 5i's had and the following they had. Someone could post on their board that I was on webcam and poof, hundreds of people would zip over, I also chatted on places like cuseeme, VDOphone and so on. Word of mouth back then was a great way to get found.
