it really doesn't matter what type of dog you have, if you hold his jaws in the right way he can't bite you.
got a 88 pouds German Sheppard myself so I've tried a few times when playing wit him, and believe me, they bite A LOT harder then a rottie or a pitbull.
edit: errrr, it won't work on too small dogs where you can't fit your hands in their jaws ;)
