It really depends why you want a break I the first place. If it's with the intention of breaking up or some-one's already looking to see what else is on offer, then its better to be honest with yourselves and just call it a day, it's not fair on either of you to stay in a relationship that?s not wanted, nor to give the other hope of a relationship that no longer exist. However, if you really do want to make it work, but just can't see a way out, then a break can often help put things into perspective, you only really appreciate what you have when it's not there anymore. The chances are you'll soon be trying to work things through. Make sure you both know, if any, what the boundaries are with fidelity, time scale ect. As the saying goes.... If u care about something, set it free. If it comes back its yours. If not, then it never was.
