pretty much right on. There was actually a lot of outcry from the christian community from the scene if you remember where Jesus was working and then Mary Magdalene beckoned him and he came to her lovingly embraced her and kissed her. That didn't look like they were just friends that is for sure.
In the beginning the Devil temped Jesus. This is in the bible that the Devil tried to tempt Jesus one last time to go to him and be by his side and he would make all the troubles go away.
Based on the teachings of the bible it is believed that before Jesus died on the cross the world was in control of the Devil. Because people would sin and they would not be forgiven. Once Jesus died on the cross this was changed and people could be forgiven for their sins by believing that Jesus was their savior. That is why at the end you see the Devil cast away on some barren wasteland, Hell.
Just what 10 years of Catholic school taught me. Could be wrong.
