you have 72 hours before the morning after pill is no longer an option.
Do NOT confuse the morning after pill with the "abortion" pill as they are not the same.
When the egg is first fertilized it releases a hormone/chemical that says the egg is fertilized and prevents other sperm from penetrating it twice.
The fertilized egg then continues to travel down the fallopian tubes and 50% of the time attaches to the uterus wall.
When it attaches to the uterus wall ANOTHER hormone/chemical is produced which says the female is pregnant do NOT allow any more "eggs" to attach.
The morning after pill tricks the body into saying she is already pregnant and therefore - if a fertilized egg exists - it can not attach itself to the uterus wall and grow.
It is NOT an abortion pill which detaches an already attached and growing fertilized/egg?
