The site I'm talking about offered plugin content, hosting and payment processing with an affiliate payout option...
You would build a paysite with your own (presumably exclusive) content and design, on their server and include their plugins (ezines, movies, games etc) ... Marketing, design, domain name, etc. are up to the site owner.
