If you're using one of these phrases at the beginning of your post, it means that you ARE about to be an asshole (bitch), you ARE doing it deliberately (you "mean to") and therefore you are being a hypocrite.

Try using the phrase, "You may think I'm an asshole (a bitch) for saying this, but..."

It's more honest.

I was just about to start a post beginning with that line... and that's when I realized that I probably shouldn't post it. I don't mean to be an asshole.
