Yes, this is true.
Also I know for a fact that Lensman is making a profit on my traffic even at $.06 (otherwise he wouldn't pay $.06) -- so in reality my traffic is worth more than what he is paying me... I'm tired of cc processors fucking up -- tired of dialer lines going down -- surfers w/o cookies not being counted (over 30% of signups don't have cookies on), shaving, etc... Not to mention I don't get credit for type-ins or the exposure that my site gives to a program...
In reality I know my traffic is worth more than what these shitty paysites are paying me -- and I read tons of posts about people wanting to buy traffic... so my logical conslusion is that I should sell the traffic up front by wire -- instead of sitting around waiting IF a processor will pay the paysites -- sitting around wondering IF the paysite will pay on time -- sitting around wondering IF the check will get lost in the mail -- or sitting around wondering IF the check will bounce. Fuck that.
I suppose I need to sell this traffic per/click (maybe through a 3rd party's counter)... which makes more sense because then I have incentive to increase my traffic... Imagine this -- a system where paysites can bid on large volumes of traffic that they are buying... and this traffic could be evaluated (by a third part) on a regular basis... past performance/history could be recorded -- proxy %'s could be screened, etc... you could even do bulk buying and selling -- sortof like a labor union for traffic.
The days of webmasters trusting strangers with traffic and their money is near an end.
