I wasnt aware at how close Mt. St. Helens is to Mt. Hood. My last trip to Hood I could view Helens along the drive. If I would have had time, I would have booked over there and checked it out up close and personal.

me thinks you werent around in 1980 to see it blow..was quite the disaster.

Someone in this thread earlier mentioned yellowstone as having huge underground volcanoes... if you draw it out on a map the whole pacific northwest is a burning ring of fire
