You sense of smell is the most power sense for triggering memories, so they remember that your house smelt nice, possibly not conciously, they'll probably be thinking 'there was something nice about that house but I can't put my finger on it'
Also fresh cut flowers and stuff like that, but don't go OTT or they'll think your gay.
