I agree with tootie, but wanna add something to it. I snipe all the time, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. If I'm prepared to pay $50 for a $200 item, then it doesn't matter if I snipe, I'm still going to lose.
If you must must must have the item, snipe to an amount that will insure you win it. Simple :D
