I'm not all that surprised.. They're all in the same boat.. all needing money.. all wanting the special interest groups.. all saying, "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours." The IRS has been extorting money from people for years by using illegal tax codes, but the gov. turns the blind eye because they need money for their gyms and indoor pools, limo's, parties, etc..
On a show just the other night, they showed where a guy was sent to prison for 30+ years and the FBI, including ol' J. Edgar knew he was innocent and did nothing..
Bush's popularity is due to the war.. I just hope he doesn't keep it going where he can remain popular. Viet Nam was big business for Johnson and his Texas Buddies. Kennedy was about to end the conflict, then he all of a sudden is dead... hmm.. wonder why...
It's all about power and greed.. always has been, always will be.
