Every surviver has told me if you got injured and could walk they sewed you back up and your ass was back out in the rice fields. Seen the scars, seen the paperwork of when they were admitted to the field hospital and saw the paperwork for when they went home so they were not bullshitting me and it was not that they took a bullet or shrapnell and then wanted to go right back at it.
Of course they also told me that all that baby killing shit that Kerry came back and talked about was B.S. A platoon would turn in some asshole to chain of command for opening fire on civilians without provication because it would jeapordise the platoon by giving away their position as well as turning friendlies into foes. There were lots of whores to go around so there was not as much rape as you would think either. They were soldiers doing their job and the last thing they were doing was wasting ammo that would save their life later on women and babies.
