Canadian males whether English or French descent tend to be betas because they never threw off the feudal system like the Americans did; an American is expected to be his own master, and make his own way. A Canadian is compelled to be under some level of patronage; this is why Canadians took on socialism so comfortably. It is closely related to this ancient medieval patronage system.
