i would get more opinions and look for natural remedies as someone suggested. at least you are not putting your child at harm. i am not a hippy and generally think thats not a good solution for all health problems, but i think that this is almost always something that is dietary or can be corrected by changing diet. a kid can get too much sugar consistently and become hypoglycemic with severe swings in blood sugar and exibit the same symptoms for example. drop the sugar and he goes back to normal. there are many possibilities.
its scary how fast a doctor will write a kid off and give him pills for everything. i hate seeing that.
