I found out while I was home visiting family that a friend had commited suicide.
we were hanging out in a bar and I asked "hey guys, where's Scottie?"
You should have seen the look on their faces. They thought I was sick. Nobody had told me and there was no way I would have known unless I had asked.
Anyways, my childhood friend had taped a hose to his exhaust on his brand new truck and stuck it in the window. Turned his car on and killed himself.
He left a note saying that he had killed himself b/c his g/f of 7 years turned down his proposal and broke up with him.
I miss him very much. He was such a kind and gentle person who was loved by everyone he came to know. Suicide is such a selfish way to go but the help didn't come fast enough and sometimes desperation is overwhelming.
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. May she rest in peace.
