If KRL's theory is true, there would have to be some sort of a gateway between our bodies and this other place. The brain could very well be that basic gateway.
If it becomes damaged in certain areas, then certain signals couldn't be sent to whatever realm this other place exists.
Not saying I believe that. Just one of many theories nobody will ever be able to prove or disprove.
