I remember reading somewhere one time, something about how its possible to live for up to a minute after you've been beheaded.
Back when women were still being beheaded for being witches and all that shit, a "doctor" asked a woman to keep blinking her eyes for as long as she was alive after they diced her head off.
She blinked for 30 seconds and then stopped. The doctor said her name, she opened her eyes, and looked right at him, and then died.
