It should be noted that just because someone or something might be considered a leader, doesn't mean that they're a GOOD leader. Hitler was a leader.

It should also be noted that an effective leader has the ability to influence others to join or support its cause. Few countries were willing to support America in its war with Iraq, and since then, its power to influence other countries is even weaker. If you have no power to influence others, who are you leading?

Finally, leadership depends on how OTHERS see you, not how you see yourself. If others don't see you as a leader, then you are not a leader.
