So lemme get this straight, you're speeding 85 mph toward a crowded stopped intersection, *while* you're writing down a license plate number? Were you eating fries, grooming your poodle, and talking on your cell too?
And "couldn't see the light" because you were driving too close to the vehicle in front of you is so not a defense. Whatever transpired before then is irrelevant. You're guilty. Tell the whole story to the judge and he'll ask the cop to come up with some more charges.
