depends what pure breed you go for. don't expect to spend less then 900.00. make sure you take your time when buying this dog. sit with it for a while. make sure it's not timid or too hyper. do the hand tricks. make sure it listens to you when you call it. make sure it makes eye contact with you.
your dog should come with papers and it's first shots. make sure you take it to the vet a couple of weeks after you have it and most importantly, BE PATIENT with this dog. it will go to the bathroom all over but it's up to you to take the time out and train it.
usually a puppy will go to the bathroom almost immediately after it eats. you should feed it 3 times a day and 10 mins after each feeding, take it to the paper so it can go to the bathroom.
usually dogs will not go where they sleep so buy yourself a cage/carrier, put down a soft blanket, make sure this is located in a warm part of the room, and place the dog in there. this carrier/cage should have a sizable opening so that it can see you.
also, if you dont want to have to take it out in the middle of the night, pull up its water an hour before bed.
this is like having a child without all the problems.
