None of the cargo flying below you is
EVER checked for explosive material, nor the cargo containers are not shielded from explosions. All it took was a fist sized chunk of C-4 to kill 270 people and cause this much damage.
The airlines before 9/11/2001 balked at the security measures that are in place today, and any additional security, like explosion resistant cargo containers is balked at by the bean counters.
The only people that feel secure with these new measures is that little old lady flying home once a year, Joe Sixpack who is as clueless as a wet mop, and sadly a number of GFY webmasters in this thread.
