That's cool for him - it's just personally not my thing. What I'm really saying, is on me personally, I think I would look too femmy without any body hair at all. But I also like having body hair and like women who are not totally shaved as well - it's just a personal preference - I don't get this big cultural movement towards being totally hairless - adults are supposed to have hair on their bodies - it's not a bad thing.

Most bodybuilders are not metrosexual and shave their bodies to better display their muscular development. That's the whole reason for the shaving the body bit. If there is no muscular development to display, then shaving would look stupid. That's why I let the hair grow back in the cooler months, that's when I put on a bit of fat. In the end, it is a matter of preference though.
