Waitress's PAY tax on wage + 15% tips , whether they get tips or not..
So if no customer tips , and the waitress made many sales , she may actually have to pay her employer to work.. ( this is not uncommon either )
Stores often post prices for items without tax , its the same thing..
You cant walk into mcdonalds and expect a 99cent burger for 99 cents.. and if you ate it before you paid for it you would be arrested as well.
