I dunno , it seems to me like that guy saved the little baby's life ? ?no ?
at a certain point in a situation like that you decidede that there is no way you will just stop and give it all up . When you are past this point you are dangerous , very dangerous , that guy probably knew it was going to end very ugly and wanted to save the baby ?!
but on the other hand why did he have the baby with him in the first place ? ?
either way I am happy the baby is alive and ok
