sure, going very low carb no carb at all will yield immediate results, but when you come off that diet, the pounds come right back... and in fact, since when you go low carb, you lose muscle tissue and fat - when you gain it back, you don't gain any muscle back and you gain MORE FAT than you originally had.
you don't lose muscle. read some books on ketogenic diets and educate yourself a little on physiology before preaching about things you don't understand.

body builders have been using ketogenic diets since the 50's to lose fat without losing muscle because the process is anti-catabolic.

that being said, stop telling people that diets don't work. diets are not the reason people gain weight back. it can be one factor (muscle loss/metabolic issues) but the primary reason is that people refuse to change their lifestyle or do not understand that they need to... even after they achieved their weight goals. if you don't change the lifestyle that got you there in the first place, you will end up right back where you started everytime.
