You'd quite enjoy the novel 'Calculating God' by Toronto author Robert J. Sawyer... in the course of the story it gives a great many scientific reasons why life on earth has to be the result of some sort of creator.
In no way can this support any belief in Heaven, Hell, Nirvanna, or any other mythical storybook tales.
I also believe in a creator, it's pretty obvious... however... I also believe all religions were created to worship the same creator. As soon as we get over which one is the true one and realize we are all worshiping the same one... in our own ways, we will be much happier as a whole.
