If you don't think metallica have any meaningful songs then you are a fucking retard and I'd like to hear what you think meaning full is. Perhaps you aren't bright enough to understand the metaphors and language to understand their meaning. Find some site with song explanaions. You will be suprised. Their new album is shit but they have some quality songs. You obviously don't have a clue about music.
Jimi is awesome, I don't really like van halens style that much, or satriani. Steve Via is cool. Slash, Hammett and Jimi are my biggest influences. It's what youy play, it's how it sounds. Although there are more advanced guitarists out there, its the feel they have that I love so much. Every one has their own opinion.
