Families of Beslan victims to receive 100,000 rubles each
MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - The federal government will pay 100,000 rubles (over $3,400) to families of each victim of the terrorist act in Beslan, plus 18,000 rubles to compensate burial expenses, says a governmental resolution drafted for a Thursday meeting of the Cabinet.
The money will be paid from a reserve fund of the federal government to the government of North Ossetia - Alania.
Beslan sufferers will also receive compensations. People with severe injuries will receive 50,000 rubles, people with light injuries will receive 25,000 rubles, and other former hostages will receive 15,000 rubles.
The North Ossetian government and the Russian Health and Social Security Ministry will present lists of victims and sufferers to the Finance Ministry and provide for payment of compensations.
