45-Years old and you're working as a sales rep at Sears? Give me a break..

Oddly... many people did this for years of their lives - this guy is not alone.
Some have been shoe salesman and hell knows what else. Some may like their jobs, others not. I sure would not be "looking down" on anyone because of this - it's their life and choice, or maybe "necessity".
I can think of one friend who "likes" to grow shit in his garden (or any damned field he can find!). He then goes along to a market and stands there selling the "produce".
He has a simple life in that aspect and anyone buying fruit from him don't come rushing on to GFY and saying what an ass he is because they spoke to him for 10 minutes.
The "other side" to this guy is he has a masters degree, Phd and is a prolific writer for .. what's it called? *g*.. National Geographic.
He has done loads of projects from China to the Gallapagos Islands. In the last year, he has completed another in UAE which involved over 2000 people and is now a "model" being picked up by the UN as a method of "cultivating the desert".
I have his CV on my desk right now - every damned page puts me to shame - loaded with "credits" from UN to UNESCO - about 50-60 pages long, - with letters of thanks from the goverments of a good few countries.
This is the 47 year old guy who sells fruit at a market
Appearances can be deceptive....
PS... I am damned proud this guy is on our team for a project we are doing - I could never have wished for a more qualified person and a loyal as hell friend.
