You have a good point... but.
Some people actually have hopes that there is still some decency and respect within a "community" like GFY. And during a tragic loss a person needs to let coworkers or clients/partners know that. Especially if he/she is someone who is doing business with others that frequent GFY. There is a lot of vicious people on this board, if he had disappeared for a few days without telling anyone what had happened, the hate threads would have showed up in no time. And what's worse than coming back from a funeral and finding out that while you mourned your business identity had been thrashed by fucktards (not unlike the two in that other thread).
