Steve you mentioned paying sales tax at the grocery store. This isn't the same situation. If the grocery store charged you extra for using your CC then it would be the same situation.

It's a cost of doing business. If you're losing too much from processing fees maybe you need to adjust your prices.
I guess what I was trying to get across that outside of our business, most people would go ahead and charge a tax on their service/product for tax. I don't, so in the end when tax time comes around I will owe for not only for the tax I am not including but taking a small hit for not including this since my invoices show what I billed the client. that is what the govt. will see when it's actually X amount of dollars minus 2.9% that i realistically grossed. considering that 99% of my clients pay by paypal, take my annual salary and minus 2.9%, thats a few thousand that are just gone just for being nice and excluding it.

my prices are already cheap...maybe i do need to readjust prices...
