If this were a gaming board, I'd agree with you. If this were a general discussion board on, say, a movie site, I'd also agree with you.
However, our business is conducted almost exclusively online, using electronic forms of communication. We use the phone too (and written documents when needed), but this board (and the many others like it) are our meeting rooms, our playgrounds and our year-round industry conventions.
Take boards in this biz seriously. You will thank me one day
