Frances don't look good one bit - it's far too big for a start and is travelling too slowly. Means basically it can pound a place to bits before it passes over.
Last I heard it was a cat2? Hard to say but it is probable this may increase because of the warmer waters between Bahamas and the Florida cost - this is gonna get the eye moving faster.
Suggest ya find a "secure room" - preferably with concrete walls - and get ready to "manage" the water :-)
BTW.. if you have boxes around (computers), take the metal casing off them and store them high and dry. The static in the air with Frances will be high and often screws up boards - taking the casing off minimizes this shit.

I've probably gone through 30+ hurricanes in my life. I grew up in South Florida....I didn't even bother putting up the shutters for this one....It's hardly raining, only a few wind gusts, and no flooding so far.
