My dad's neighbor did something similar. My dad's tree shed leaves on the neighbor's yard, which is divided by a tall fence. One day my family came home, and the branches of the tree were cut off, and he they had put bleach on the tree. I would have called the cops, b/c the neighbor trespassed, cut and destroyed his tree....my dad let it go!
