well, its because at a very young age you are told constantly by your parents and peers that there is a god. hell, you have to speak of "god" everyday in america's school system (the pledge)
"god" is just something that many people use to find a secure feeling inside, like my example before of death, illness is also a good example, it gives people something to fall back on in hard times. people are dying everyday and their family cannot afford to medicate them, so they fall back on "god" and praying. It does not do anything, but if gives the family a feeling of hope and security of their loved ones well being.
like i said before, it all comes down to comfort in life.
without comfort, many people would not know what to do, and they will go crazy because in reality, when there is nothing left to do in a bad situation, no one knows what to do, and not knowing what to do makes people feel very uncomfortable, so they resport to praying to a creation in their head.
and im sorry if my view is offending anyone, it wasnt ment to, this is just how i view life.
we are lucky to be here, there is no reason we are here besides luck of the right mixture of oxygen,H2O, and warmth.
keep in mind, we are just another form of life, no different then ants or any other living thing. we are here to live and die.
we have a start and a finish like everything else in this world, there is no start after our finish unless modified by science.
