The Ancient Greece part is correct. I have a minor in history and actually studied the sexual past.

Egyptian times didn't think anything about two men having sexual relations. They highly encouraged everyone to have lots of sex, hell their religion said that the first two beings other than The Sun God came into existance when he jerked off.

Back in Roman and Greek times, young boys were regularly pimped out by their parents to the up-and-up men of society as sex toys. It was considered perfectly legal and even morally good because the gods themselves were well known for their gay romps. It was ok to have sex with young men and from this trade off many boys got tutoring (education wasn't free) and trade skills for being merchants. Their families got money for allowing the boy to leave since that is an inconvience to lose a valuable worker. Some of the most important and influential caesars had plenty of male sex slaves.
