increase a couple dingers? it would be like using titanium bats. gear can increase strength by a large margin. you don't see too many skinny guys belting out home runs now do you? strength is a factor and you can do your own research at espn.com. look at your typical middle infielders(who are smaller and typically not as strong) compare them to first basemen/left fielders who are typically much bigger and stronger.

then you can pay scientists to figure out the correlation between strength and home runs for mlb players if you want actual real numbers from a study.
