I LIVE in Mexico. No, not the "frontera." Guadalajara, mid-country.

If there's one thing I've learned, these people do not have any social or cultural meaning of "work ethic" or "work product." To them, it's "the check" that matters. Nothing more, nothing less. They also do not have any idea of "common courtesy", "common decency" or "common sense."

Remember. MEXICO is spelled with M-E. That's their mindset; Me first, Me only. And the concept of "rules?" They apply to YOU. Not to ME.

If you lived here, you'd surely understand.

As for the "assistant," I'd say it's time to set about a plan to make her "go away." If you have a good, close customer that you can trust, have them have a phone problem with her and then report the complaint up the ladder. Remember, it's the "money" that people listen to, not the sales staff. I've used it before and found it a good concept.
