Of course. There are two kinds of people, those who can build traffic and those who can convert it. Very few know both, mainly due to the fact that in order to become really good at either, you need to spend time practicing and that doesn't leave you time for the other. That being said, ANYONE can tweak sales pitches and experiment with traffic until it converts well. A lot fewer know how to generate traffic. Traffic is a comodity and a site with traffic should be treated as such. Again, those who know how to convert traffic should have no problem making back the price within a couple of months.
Now, even with current income level unknown and no details about who actually owns the site, do you think recovering your investment in two months is a bad deal? Personally I think it's good as gold and if you show me another online or offline venture with the same payback possibilities, except for porn, I'd be happy to venture into it. My bet is you can't.
