as for my position on all of this I say this: I don't think it's possible to live your life and not do business with people/companies that don't think the same way you do. Baddog proves that himself. He won't go to Wendy's or drink Coors because he refuses to give these people his money but he was certainly able to bite his tounge and get paid by someone he didn't agree with. If his convictions were really that strong he would have walked and not taken their money. I have a friend that has slowly over the last few years become somewhat of a religious zealot and he and his wife decided to boycott disney because they support gay rights. So we pointed out to them that this was hypocrytical because most large companies in this country support gay rights - not because they really want to bur because they may get sued if they dont- so we put together a list of all the companies we could find that had some sort of gay rights support in their corprate structure and they realized that just about everywhere they shopped/bought stuff from was on that list. Of course you can't really reason with the fanatical so it didn't change their minds but it was fun anyway
I'm pro-choice because I'm for anything that keeps the population down and I always ask any pro-lifers I run across how many kids they have personally adopted. If they say none then I ask them how come they are so ready to force people to have kids but they themselves will do nothing to help care for the kids they brought into the world.
There is documentory on HBO Thursday morning at 5:15 am called "Soldiers in the Army of God" it's about the extreme right of the pro-life movement. Set your VCRs if you haven't seen it, it's a disturbing and interesting film.
