It is called irony. He is showing & making fun of the AZ. rednecks. It is a shame that the irony was lost on you. Some people just wont get the point of the joke & will take Borat's words at face value. This was the fear of the ADL that prompted the ALI G story on CNN last night. Init funny, though that the episode in question was on weeks ago, and it is not until Sasha appears on the Stern show yesterday that the shit starts to hit the fan.
