Yes he could have. Problem is most forums do not have as many assholes exploting it as gfy so they ussually leave such things as html tags and such in place.
I also stand by the fact that real webmasters (proven ones) often fuck up on the sigs when they come here. They also mess up with embeding images due to hotlinking concerns. Yet oddly enough he can pull his image from
http://www.microsqft.com/files/ despite that directory browsing is dissabled on his very first attempt.
