"check the referrers of your top trades (where the hits are coming from - should see it in your httpd logs)
and then goto the site and look how they are sending traffic to your site.. and if there's any 'funny' business going on"
most site use something like "out.cgi?id=MYUSR", "out.php?id=MYUSR" ... whatever, it is just taken my back to my site, so i can assume these are not fake hits? it is hard to tell, isn't it ... and a lot of work especially as most of us have 100's of sites....
