The opening scene was pretty trick, with the lone priest staggering out of the scene of a huge battle, but when that scene transitioned to the crappy CG of cairo (something that would have looked bad in the mid-90s) I knew it was going to go downhill in a hurry, and sho' nuff it did.
If you haven't seen it yet, save your money. It may not be as abysmally bad as the celluloid travesty House of the Dead. There's enough good stuff in there to *barely* keep you from thinking "Well, there's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back". Get it on video if you're a fan of the original and want to see the latest crappy attempt at expanding on what was a singularly great and creepy movie that's already been burdened with a couple shit-for-sequels.
... and am I the only one who thinks that it should have been the kid? There's no way some concentration camp survivor was pure enough to be a serious conquest.
